媽祖について
媽祖の物語は、海辺に生きたひとりの女性から始まる。
林默娘（リン・モーニャン）と呼ばれ、福建の湄洲島で生まれたと伝えられる。彼女は潮の音を知り、船出を前にした人々の不安も知っていた。のちに人々は、彼女が嵐の中で船を守り、霧の中で道を示し、家で帰りを待つ人々の願いをつないでいたのだと語った。
Tide（潮）という名は、媽祖と海に由来する。
それはまた、人の心の中にある満ち引きにも由来する。
