Who operates this site
Tide Oracle is operated by Azurepod, Inc., a corporation registered in Delaware, United States. You can reach us at support@azurepod.com.
What Tide Oracle is — and is not
Tide Oracle presents Mazu kau chim, a traditional Chinese lot-drawing practice, as an online experience. You ask a question, draw a numbered lot, and receive a written interpretation of the corresponding classical verse. Interpretations are generated automatically using large language models.
The service is offered for entertainment, cultural interest, and self-reflection. It is not a prediction of the future, and it is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, investment, or any other professional advice. Nothing on this site is a substitute for a qualified professional, and no outcome is promised or guaranteed. You remain responsible for your own decisions.
Interpretations may be inaccurate, incomplete, or simply not applicable to your situation. Treat them as a prompt for your own thinking, not as an answer.
Who may use it
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a subscription. If you are under 18, you may use the free features only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Access and sign-in
There are no passwords and no user accounts in the usual sense. Access is tied to your email address: you request a code, we email it, and entering it sets a signed session cookie in your browser. Anyone with access to your email inbox can therefore sign in as you. Keep that inbox secure.
Subscription, trial, and billing
Tide Oracle Plus costs US$4.99 per month and begins with a 7-day free trial. A payment method is collected when you start the trial, but nothing is charged during it. Billing begins on day 8 and recurs monthly until you cancel. Tax is added on top of the listed price where it applies.
A Plus subscription lets you ask about 1 category per day and draw up to 15 signs within it, and keeps your questions and readings in a private timeline. These limits are part of the product, not a temporary restriction, and we may adjust them with notice.
Payments for Plus are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. That means Stripe is the seller of record on your receipt and card statement, handles applicable sales tax, VAT and GST, and provides transaction-level support and dispute handling. Your card details are given to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling during the 7-day trial means you are never charged. Cancelling later stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. See the Refunds and Cancellation page for how to do it.
Your content and sharing
The questions you write remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store them, to send them to our AI provider so an interpretation can be generated, and to show them back to you.
Readings in your timeline are private by default. If you choose to share one, we create an unlisted link that anyone holding it can open without signing in — the reading is no longer private once you hand that link out. You can unshare it at any time, which stops the link working.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- resell, redistribute, or present readings as your own paid service
- use automated means to draw signs or extract content at scale
- attempt to interfere with the site, its security, or other people’s access
- use the service to give professional advice to others, or to represent that its output is such advice
The site’s own content
The classical verses are traditional material in the public domain. Everything else on this site — the translations, the cultural notes, the written pages, the design, the code, and the name Tide Oracle — belongs to us or our licensors, and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.
Availability and changes
We do our best to keep the site running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will say so on this page and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
Disclaimers and limits on liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision you make in reliance on a reading.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence.
